OPULIS: Illuminating Hidden Architects of Microsoft’s Trillion-Dollar Transformation and Uplifting a New Generation
Celebrating the changemakers powering Microsoft’s trillion-dollar transformation, OPULIS is more than a tribute—it’s a movement driving equity, access, and opportunity in global tech
In an era defined by AI-driven change, few campaigns have captured the imagination—and urgency—of equity in tech like OPULIS, the global tribute to women who powered Microsoft’s rise and are now igniting the future of innovation
Launched for Microsoft’s 50th anniversary, OPULIS is more than a collector’s coffee table book. It’s a landmark, a movement, and a funding engine for the next wave of women in AI. Within its pages are 50 visionaries whose stories have shaped Microsoft’s trillion-dollar journey: architects of cloud, champions of accessibility, and trailblazers in gaming and AI.
OPULIS, brought to life by the Women in Cloud network, immortalizes women who didn’t just ride the wave of tech’s expansion—they built it. More than a historical archive, OPULIS mobilizes purpose today: through its “books to scholarships” model, every 10 copies sold unlocks an AI Certification Scholarship, fueling a goal to ignite 1,000 AI careers by 2030 for women around the world.
Among OPULIS’s featured honorees is Njideka Harry—a systems-change architect whose legacy reaches far beyond titles. Born in Nigeria and shaped by lived experience on both sides of the digital divide, Harry rose to guide Microsoft’s expansion into sub-Saharan Africa before founding the Youth for Technology Foundation (YTF).
Her work at YTF has equipped over 1.7 million women and youths with digital and entrepreneurial skills. Her signature initiatives, such as the Digital Village Movement and 3D Africa, specifically put tools of innovation—like AI and design thinking—into the hands of girls and underrepresented communities. As Ashoka’s Global VP, she now bridges social impact and corporate strategy, advocating that inclusion isn’t just a value—it’s a lever for systemic growth.
Through her story, OPULIS celebrates not only success, but significance: Harry’s achievements are a blueprint for change—proof that “when empathy meets execution, entire ecosystems transform.
OPULIS stands as a permanent chapter in Microsoft’s corporate history, with proceeds funding life-changing career opportunities for women who will lead tomorrow’s tech revolution. The campaign’s impact is immediate—a collector’s piece that builds both status and legacy for its owners, while multiplying real-world opportunities for emerging leaders.
My legacy is measured not in titles, but in the lives I uplift and the ecosystems I help reimagine
“
Featured in OPULIS, Njideka Harry’s story is a testament to how lived experience, radical inclusion, and community-driven innovation can ignite futures and bridge divides—from Nigeria’s villages to the frontlines of AI
